Designing a web site has changed dramatically in the last ten years but especially in the last three years. The biggest change has been the introduction of specific software that generates complex results efficiently.

The main program being used by Webjade is Macromedia Suit 8 . This is a package of software that can be used graphically and / or with traditional hand coding and incorporates:

 Dreamweaver

A development program that has a choice between Command programming or graphic programming and automate scripting for web page creation.

 Fireworks

Manipulates colour, shapes, pictures and photos and can automatically assign html and java script straight into Dreamweaver.

 Freehand

A vector drawing package for drawing graphic pictures. This software has excellent import and export features.

 Flash

“The program changing the face of web design”.

Put simply flash has a saving format that makes a graphic file smaller than other available formats, allowing the use of many pictures. These are then incorporated into a timeline that can be tweened (smoothed) which gives the appearance of movement. There is also varying behaviours available using flash scripting.

Other software used are: Corel Suit, Photoshop and Microsoft Office.

 Server - Side Development Software

Equipment primarily used are a Compaq notebook, Kodak 4Mp Camera and general office equipment.

Webjade uses Project Management Proceedures - especially for Scopes and Time Management.
